Discover the beautiful Imlil Valley and its surrounding Berber villages on this immersive day trip. Enjoy a few hours of hiking through the villages, with a refreshing mint tea stop in a local family house. Visit the waterfalls and savor a traditional lunch with a local family.
Begin your adventure with a pick-up from your hotel in Marrakech and drive along the scenic Righaya Valley, passing through the Moulay Brahim gorges. Stop at the Asni Market (on Saturdays) and optionally visit a women’s cooperative in Tahnaout.
Arrive in Imlil, often referred to as the “Little Chamonix of the Atlas Mountains.” Here, start your hike through the picturesque villages of Arghen and Mzzik, where a local family will invite you for tea and nuts. Continue to the waterfalls, enjoying views of Mount Toubkal and learning about the local culture and traditions.
Continue the hike through fields of walnuts and terraced landscapes to reach the village of Ait Souka. Here, a delicious lunch prepared by a local family awaits, offering a stunning view of the Atlas Mountain range.
After lunch, pass by the village of Talaoul on your way back to meet your transport and return to Marrakech. This day trip offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and hospitality, providing a memorable experience of the Imlil Valley and its people.
