Full Description

Join our non-profit Pikala on a bicycle tour that lets you discover Marrakech differently. We train Moroccan youth to offer you deeper insights into Moroccan daily life and authentic culture.

Cycle through various neighborhoods, including the historic city center ‘Medina’ and the modern ‘Gueliz’. Along the way, you’ll see iconic landmarks like the Koutoubia, the Kasbah, and the Agdal Gardens. More importantly, we’ll take you to parts of the city that you wouldn’t normally visit.

Visit a public bakery and a traditional bathhouse called a Hammam (note: we do not enter the Hammam). Explore the enormous second-hand market and the Zaouia de Sidi Bel Abbès, one of the seven Saints of Marrakech. Conclude the tour at our Pikala Cafe, where you’ll enjoy Hibiscus tea or Mint tea and sweets.

Throughout the tour, the trained youth will share insights about growing up in Morocco, the importance of family, and the balance between religion and modernization. This tour offers a cultural and personal introduction to Moroccan life.

Additional Notes

– Wear casual clothes that are comfortable for biking. Avoid long dresses or skirts.
– Moroccan traffic is organized chaos; it may seem challenging at first, but you’ll soon discover how flexible it is.

This tour is not only educational but also great fun, providing a memorable way to experience Marrakech.
