Full Description
Immerse yourself in Moroccan cuisine with a hands-on, half-day cooking class in Marrakesh. This unique experience begins with a short tour of a local market near our meeting point, where you’ll buy fresh vegetables and other essential ingredients.
Upon returning to our home, you’ll start by learning the traditional method of making Moroccan mint tea, a vital part of the local culture. As we sip tea and get acquainted, you’ll gain insights into Moroccan traditions and culinary practices.
The cooking session begins with hands-on lessons in peeling, chopping, and seasoning tagines with the right spices, just as our grandmothers and mothers do. During the class, you’ll prepare 3 to 4 different dishes, ensuring a comprehensive culinary experience. We cater to various dietary preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
Throughout the cooking process, we’ll delve deeper into Moroccan culture, traditions, and history, providing a rich context to your culinary adventure. Working as a team, you’ll learn a variety of recipes, enhancing your skills beyond just one dish.
The class lasts about 4 hours, from meeting to mealtime, but we keep the atmosphere relaxed and unhurried to make you feel right at home. After cooking, you’ll enjoy the fruits of your labor, tasting and sharing the delicious dishes you’ve prepared.
At the end of the session, we provide a link to our website where you can find the recipes for the dishes you’ve made and many more. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase spices and tagines at discounted rates to continue your Moroccan culinary journey at home.
